So proud of all of our super readers! Congrats to some of our students for reaching 200 steps and 300 steps in the ARC reading challenge! Thank you PTC for all of the donated prizes!
Just a reminder that tomorrow is picture retake day! If your child is getting a retake, please return the original picture packet to give to the photographer.
Sports Update 1/27/2021
The IDPH and Governor moved our region into Tier 2 mitigations in the last couple days. This means we will begin Volleyball Tryouts on Monday Feb 1st. While we are in Tier 2, we are only allowed to have practices. We are hopeful that in the next week we will be brought down to Tier 1 which means we will be allowed to play volleyball games.
We also have tentatively scheduled basketball season to begin March 1st if all goes well.
Bowling is still TBD. We are hopeful to begin this March as well.
If you have any specific questions please reach out to Alex Seel aseel@wbsd113.org

Athletic Update:
Volleyball tryouts will be postponed. The starting date will be TBD until mitigations from the IDPH and Governor's office are lifted to allow indoor practices. Currently Volleyball is classified as a medium risk sport.
Bowling is still undetermined on the starting date as bowling alleys are still shut down. When they open, they will fill with high school teams before allowing Jr. High teams to play.
Basketball is estimated to start at the end of February pending approval from the IDPH and Governor's office. Basketball is currently listed as a high risk sport.
More information will be communicated as it becomes available.
Congratulations on retirement to our tech director, Mrs. Melvin. Thanks for your hard work and dedication to the district. You will be missed.
